چکیده

Creation of a bioartificial pancreas, including cell-engineered construct (CEC) formed from pancreatic islets (islets Langerhans) and biocompatible matrix mimicking the native microenvironment tissue, is one approaches to treatment type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D). Objective: conduct preliminary in vivo studies functional efficacy intraperitoneal injection endocrine suspension rat an experimental T1D model. Materials methods . Tissue-specific scaffold was obtained by decellularization human fragments. The viability activity isolated with collagenase were determined. Experimental modeled low-dose streptozotocin incomplete Freund’s adjuvant into rats. rats intraperitoneally injected twice CEC (n = 2) or islet 1). Glucose levels blood urine assessed. Histological examination organs (pancreas kidneys) animals carried out. Results. After first injection, glucose gradually decreased all more than 47% initial values; follow-up day 24, level rose hyperglycemic values. repeated administration, 63.4% decrease glycemic observed 47.5% suspension. At week 5 experiment, increased animals. same time, index 62% lower islets. Conclusion. Allogeneic increase duration stable

Effect of Linalool on the Activity of Glyoxalase-I and Diverse Glycation Products in Rats with Type 2 Diabetes

Background and purpose: Hyperglycemia contributes to type 2 diabetes and diabetes vascular complications by reduction of the activity of glyoxalase-I (GLO-I) and elevation of glycation, oxidative stress, and inflammatory markers. Linalool is reported to have beneficial effects on glucose metabolism in animal models of diabetes, so, this study aimed at investigating the effect of linalool on the...

The changes of serum insulin in response to resistance training with emphasis on FOXO1 in pancreas of diabetes rats

Introduction: Decreased insulin sensitivity and its secretion of pancreas increase the risk of developing type 2 diabetes (T2D). In the present study it was aimed to assess the effect of resistance training on Forkhead box protein O1 (FOXO1) expression in pancreas tissue, serum insulin, and insulin sensitivity in obese rats with T2D. Materials and Methods: T2D was induced by high fa...
